On the afternoon of August 4th, Professor Han De Man, Vice President of Taizhou University, invited Professor Chen Su from Nanjing University of Technology and his team to visit Zhejiang Fenfei Rubber and Plastics Products Co., Ltd. to conduct industry-university-research cooperation exchanges. They learned in detail about the company's production and operation, its future development plans, and the urgent need to solve key public technical problems in the rubber industry, aiming to alleviate difficulties for the development of rubber industry enterprises. Ye Xin Jie, member of the Party group and director of the County Science and Technology Cooperation and Information Center; Jia Wen Ping, executive director of the Sanmen Research Institute of Taizhou University; Zheng Shi Sheng, general manager of Zhejiang Fenfei Rubber and Plastics Products Co., Ltd.; and heads of relevant technical departments participated in the symposium.

At the meeting, both sides engaged in in-depth exchanges on the shortcomings of rubber products (especially poor tensile strength and tear resistance), high-performance modification schemes (combining the synergistic effect of advanced fillers such as short carbon fiber, gas-phase graphene, and biochar), school-enterprise cooperation models, and technological innovation—pain points and difficulties in enterprise development—and reached a preliminary cooperation intention.

This exchange meeting marks the in-depth integration of university intellectual resources with the actual needs of enterprises. It is expected to promote the technological upgrading and innovative development of the rubber and plastics industry in Sanmen County and provide a demonstration case for the integration of innovation and entrepreneurship. The symposium site Expert Introduction: Chen Su is a Level 2 Professor, doctoral supervisor, chief scientist of the National Key Research and Development Program, director of the Jiangsu Provincial Key Laboratory of Fine Functional Polymeric Materials, and leader of the Jiangsu Provincial Excellent Science and Technology Innovation Team for Universities. He has presided over one National Key Research and Development Program project, one National Natural Science Foundation of China key project, and seven general projects, among other national-level projects. He has published over 300 SCI papers in renowned journals such as Advanced Materials and JACS, and has been an Elsevier China Highly Cited Scholar for seven consecutive years.
