Professor Zhao Kai from Taizhou University and his colleagues were invited to inspect the rose planting demonstration base in Kanxia Jin Village.

The Kanxia Jin Village rose planting demonstration base is a common prosperity project in which Taizhou University pairs up with Sanmen County for support. Under the guidance of experts from Taizhou University, the project has successfully completed its first phase of construction.

To better and faster promote the construction of the rose demonstration base, on the afternoon of September 5th, at the invitation of the Taizhou University Sanmen Research Institute, Dean Zhao Kai and Party Secretary Yang Qifu of the School of Life Sciences of Taizhou University, along with others, went to Hengdu Town to conduct technical exchanges on rose planting, soil improvement, and field management techniques. This exchange meeting was held in the Hengdu Town People's Government, where town leaders including Party Secretary Guo Huasheng and Town Mayor Zhai Huicheng warmly received the expert team from Taizhou University.

At the symposium, Secretary Guo Huasheng extended a sincere welcome to Dean Zhao Kai and his team, thanked Taizhou University for its efforts in pairing up for support, and detailed the agriculture and tourism of Hengdu Town. Hengdu Town has obvious ecological advantages, abundant natural resources, and a long history and culture, with stellar celestial culture, sea ban culture, ancient fishing and salt road culture, red makeup culture, and ancient village clusters. At the same time, it is hoped that through this opportunity of pairing up for support, a cooperation and development platform between Hengdu Town and Taizhou University can be jointly built, and it is expected to carry out extensive cooperation in grassroots organization construction, industrial support, and talent introduction.

Dean Zhao Kai expressed gratitude on behalf of the School of Life Sciences for the warm reception from the Hengdu Town Party and government leadership team, and detailed the school's teaching staff, professional categories, disciplinary background, and basic situation of the research platform. He stated that as a local ordinary university, Taizhou University uses "hand-in-hand secretaries, shoulder-to-shoulder development" as its main approach, uses the Sanmen Research Institute as a platform, and gives full play to the school's advantages in location and talent to provide intellectual support and technological services for the optimization and upgrading of rural industries in Hengdu Town and even Sanmen County, helping to achieve common prosperity in the countryside.

Professor Jia Wenping, executive dean of the Sanmen Research Institute, extended a warm welcome to the experts and expressed sincere gratitude to the Hengdu Town government for its strong support. At the symposium, Professor Jia Wenping introduced the planting scale, construction situation, management status, and existing problems of the rose base, and put forward specific suggestions on how to promote the construction planning of the second phase of the common prosperity project.

After the meeting, accompanied by Mayor Zhai Huicheng and Professor Jia Wenping, Zhao Kai and his team went to Kanxia Jin Village, a village paired up with Taizhou University for support and one of the first batch of future villages in Zhejiang Province, to inspect the construction of the professorial village, conduct on-site investigations of the growth of roses, and provide technical guidance on rose planting technology, soil improvement, industrial development, and quality evaluation.

Professor Ke Shisheng, an expert in plant ecology at the School of Life Sciences, Dr. Yan Zhenzhong, vice president of the Sanmen Research Institute, Dr. Du Zhaokui, a village cadre stationed at Taizhou University, and members of the Kanxia Jin Village's two committees participated in the entire inspection.
